Any cancellation made by you must be initiated by telephone OR by email to BemBelga. We will acknowledge your cancellation by email.

In certain cases, you may be eligible to receive a full or partial refund, depending on:

• the reason for its cancellation or

• the number of days prior to the start of the tour on which your cancellation request is received, or

• the amount spent by the individual guide to prepare for your tour or

• the cancellation policy option you choose

BemBelga is not responsible for any incidental expenses. You may have incurred as a result of purchasing your tours, such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or lost fun.

Standard cancellation policy

If you cancel or are unable to make your tour due to force majeure.

Force Majeure includes impersonal events such as war, civil insurrection, strikes, volcanoes, extreme weather, earthquake or natural disaster that makes the tour safe or dangerous. The determination of what constitutes 'Force Majeure' is at the discretion of BemBelga.

For cancellation due to any other reasons (such as illness, changing personal circumstances), the date on which the cancellation request is received by BemBelga will determine the refund due as follows:

If you cancel 30 days or more before the tour starts: 25% of the cancellation fee. If you paid for the tour in full, we will issue a 75% refund less any initial non-recoverable costs incurred by BemBelga on your behalf. These initial costs represent expenses out of BemBelga's pocket for tickets, transportation deposits and other non-recoverable tour expenses. Send us a message to find out what these costs are, if any. If you paid only one deposit, the deposit will not be refunded.

If you cancel less than 30 days before the tour starts: 50% of the cancellation fee. If you have paid in full for the tour, we will refund 50%. If you only paid a deposit, we will refund only the amount paid above 50% of the tour price (in relation to the booking deposit).

In case of cancellation of the tour guide we will provide a similar alternative. In case of disagreement, you can choose between a reschedule of the tour OR a credit for an alternative tour. If you choose to accept the credit, the difference in the cost of the alternative tour will be refunded or paid by you, as applicable.

48 hour cancellation option

If you cancel less than 48 hours before the tour starts, there will be a 100% cancellation fee and the deposit will not be refunded.
