Belgium is one of the countries that breathes what we call the Beer Culture, a tradition that goes back centuries of history, in the manufacture and consumption of the drink. Famous for collecting “Best in the World” titles, be it for its exuberant labels in sensory characteristics, or even for the cultivation of very high quality raw materials, Belgian Beer was declared by UNESCO in 2016, as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Some of the beers produced by the Belgians are iconic, not only for their history and tradition, but for the striking and full of personality characteristics imprinted on the drinks, being difficult to reproduce in other countries.
One of the beers, or family of beers, symbol of Belgium is Lambics. We can say that this family of beers (categorized in the European Sour Ale group by BJCP) is the oldest in the world.
The purpose of Bem Belga's “Lambics Beer Route” is to experience an immersion in Belgium's beer culture, on two tours in the main breweries producing beer of the Lambic, Gueuze, Fruit Lambic, Oud Bruin and Flanders Red Ale styles. They are beers of high organoleptic complexity and with a lot of local terroir, a true living heritage.

For a better understanding of the varied production processes, we chose to visit breweries and blenders. In other words, the participant will have the opportunity to experience both the process on a factory scale, as well as small productions, in producers who do not have a factory structure, but buy the brewing must from some factory and make their specific blends and aging, to later sell your beers.
